Kingdom Over the Clouds – Exposing the Uncommon

A place that was not our first choice, because of the cluttered elements you encounter when you hit the street. No regular, structured pleasing elements for the backgrounds.  So we have to pick up the unusual or sometimes to create one, one that is available at that moment to us. You see it or you don’t.

1Wolf

The Beast – The Netherlands 2012

A question we often ask to ourself, which direction we should go.

2Headless

Cross Roads – The Netherlands 2013

We believe that moments are a match for us, a mate for a moment. Those moments can’t be hunt, it just appear, presented to us, if life is kind to us. We form a good team in searching moments and we have different character, capability and tools in our hand that fill the gap between us. But every of us should be ready and fast if the moments are there.

Happiness – The Netherlands 2009

The picture below was taken from a series of 4-5 pictures before one was taken for this presentation. After the taking of moments, we left it untouch for a couple of months than they have to be developed, selected and edited. Being hard to ourself and critical to each other.

Collector – The Netherlands 2010

In our search for the unusual we support each other, giving another a hint if we are not ready for the moment. Mostly we don’t walk alone but together, enjoying the day and if one of us can catch a moment, we are happy enough.

We hope this series of moments captured and collected for a long time, did entertained you. As some told us about our work: “sweet memories about a time far away from home”. Sweets that might not happen again in our lives and only once presented in front of our eyes. Wish you until next time!

      Dear Ali,

thank you very much for following us from the beginning. About your first comment about the Beast, yes it is true I just saw the elements inside that room and combine it to form a phrase you might already know. I choose this title to disturb the viewer.

      GBU and cheers from Leiden,

      Sari and Jos
