Germany Frozen Moments

Starting Again

after a break for years, I started again photographing. At that time I was working as a consultant in Hamburg Germany. The city is a great place to make photographs. It was never a boring place. You can find interesting topology here. So I started street photography or precisly start a documentation of everything what I saw during my time in this great city.

Sweets after the Fish

Hamburg 2006

I took the picture above at the Fischmarkt in Hamburg about 5:30 o’clock in the morning. One of my favorite picture.

Some moments are coincidentaly strange arranged, so itcan be very misleading. The picture below shows two man reach their hands and at the pillar left there was a pamflet saying,  that the international drug syndicate was arrested. So what does this picture says?

The Deal

A backyard of Hamburg. This district was a industry region of the city. Due to the direction of wind, the south part of the city became the workers home and the north part of the city became the stay of the wealthy one….

In the picture below, I played with shadow and bird view. This is one possibility I most like from Hamburg. To shot from higher places. I have studied the places at different light conditions several times.

The Cubus, a temporarily object near the museum of modern art in Hamburg. It was about 15:00 and I have only hard light as source, so in this composition I played with the contrast.

your welcome Diego! The times where I was still in germany are the most intensive one. The light is different if you compare with The Netherlands. I missed the light in germany 😦 ……I should document Berlin, cause I lived there for about 9 years!
